My brother got the 2016 National Geographic Almanac for Christmas. One night, I decided to read it. There was nothing that grabbed my attention-until I hit a page on dinosaur myths. One of the sections discussed the “death pose”. People once believed that dinosaurs found with their heads swung back and tail stretched forward died in agony.
But some scientists wondered if the dinosaurs found in the death pose were underwater when they died. To test the theory, they put dead chickens in buckets of water. The results? Chickens underwater went into the death pose almost immediately.
Now consider that the pose is common in two-legged dinosaurs. Because many dinosaurs have been found all over the world in the death pose, it would be appropriate to assume that many dinosaurs died underwater. Several museums around the world have dinosaurs that died in a “local” flood.
Think about it:
- The death pose is common in two-legged dinosaurs.
- Dinosaurs found in the death pose died underwater.
- Dinosaurs that died because of flooding are found all over the world.
Because of this, we can assume that a flood occurred that hit the whole planet. Now the question is: What flood could possibly be that bad? While some people may struggle to provide an answer, creationists know.
It’s somewhat strange how some things provide evidence for Christianity. Drowning dinosaurs and dead chickens proclaim God’s word in subtle ways, but they’re there all the same. No matter how much evolution tries to discount the evidence for Christianity, that evidence will always be there. It just all depends on how you think about it. What may seem like a minor detail may actually be evidence for God.
